Sunflowers for Ukraine

Task:

To create postcards for a fundraiser for Direct Relief.

Details:

The goal was to photograph Ukraine’s national flower, the sunflower, in a way that could be converted into a postcard format. I chose to set the flower on the background of the country’s flag to convey in the image what the sunflower truly stood for: the hope and strength of Ukraine. Photos were edited in Lightroom. Above are two of my images that were featured within the group effort that was able to raise hundreds of dollars for Direct Relief which aids Ukraine in providing basic necessities and medical care.
