I have always been drawn to texture in artwork. I enjoy expirementing with materials from charcoal, to sponges, to rice in order to achieve different effects. These methods were my inspiration for beginning this piece. I also love representing undervalued animals in my artwork. I enjoy making beautiful depictions of things not traditionally considered beautiful.
